Founded in 1990, Camp Cucumber offers single moms on financial assistance and their kids (aged 5-13) the opportunity to experience a true Canadian tradition: sleepover camp. Each year in the last week of June, moms and kids take the bus north to take part in swimming, canoeing, fishing, making crafts and learning outdoor skills, away from the stresses and strains of city life.

Each December, we also host a lively Christmas dinner in the Jane-Finch Community for past, present and future campers.

Camp Cucumber is a non-profit organization staffed entirely by volunteers and funded by private donations.
